No. My practice is private pay only. Working outside the insurance system means we can use the approach your specific pattern actually needs, without a third party limiting sessions or dictating treatment. I provide a superbill upon request for out-of-network reimbursement.

How do I know if this is the right approach for me?

Accepted Answer

If you've already done therapy, self-help, and deep reflection — and still find yourself stuck in the same patterns — this work was designed for exactly that. Most recurring patterns live in the subconscious and nervous system, not in conscious thought. If insight alone hasn't changed things, subconscious-level work is the logical next step.

How can hypnotherapy help with anxiety?

Hypnotherapy accesses the subconscious state where anxiety patterns are stored. In a deeply relaxed, focused state, it's possible to identify and update the original conclusions driving the anxiety response — at the level where they actually live, rather than just understanding them consciously.

Is hypnotherapy real — or is it like stage hypnosis?

Clinical hypnotherapy has nothing in common with stage hypnosis. You remain fully aware and in control throughout. It is a focused state of relaxed concentration in which the subconscious becomes more receptive to change. It is used clinically for anxiety, phobias, trauma, and behavioral patterns.

I've done a lot of therapy and I'm still stuck. Does that mean I'm unfixable?

Accepted Answer

No. It almost always means the work hasn't yet reached where the pattern lives. Most therapy works at the conscious level. Many recurring patterns are stored subconsciously, in automatic responses that predate logic. That's not a failure — it's a mismatch between the tool and the location of the problem.

Why do I need constant reassurance in relationships?

Reassurance-seeking is almost always rooted in anxious attachment — a learned response to early experiences where love or safety felt unpredictable. The nervous system learned to check and monitor. This pattern can change by working at the subconscious level where the original insecurity was formed.

Question 7

I keep people-pleasing even when it hurts me. How do I stop?

Accepted Answer

People-pleasing is a survival strategy, not a personality type. It became automatic from early experiences where keeping others happy felt necessary. You can't think your way out of it because it doesn't live in the thinking mind. The work changes what the subconscious believes about the consequences of saying no.

Accepted Answer

Yes. I see clients in person in Napa, California and via telehealth throughout California. Hypnotherapy, NLP, and therapy sessions all work effectively online.
